Steps To get a Mental Health Treatment Plan

3 Steps in getting a Mental Health Care/Treatment Plan (MHTP)
1. Speak to your General Practitioner (GP) or Psychiatrist about a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP). They will tend to ask you a few questions.
2. If you have a specific psychologist who you would like to see, then let the GP or Psychiatrist know the Psychologist’s name and/or their medicare provider number – These details will be presented on the Pax Psychologists profile.
3. Book in with your Pax Psychologist and let them know you have MHTP prior to the session.
Reminder: Not all Psychologists are registered with a Medicare provider number or are available to use through a MHTP, therefore if you are wanting to access the MHTP make sure the psychologist offer the MHTP service. This will be shown on their Pax Profile.
